Meet Dr. J. Stewart Humphrey

Dr. J. Stewart Humphrey is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. The American Board of Plastic Surgery is the gold standard for plastic surgery certification in the United States. Dr. Humphrey is also a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. Only about one-quarter of all American Board of Plastic Surgery certified surgeons have been accepted into ASAPS membership. Physicians who have been trained in specialties other than plastic surgery are not eligible for membership in ASAPS.  He completed his plastic surgery training at the world renowned Duke University Medical Center, and completed additional training in microsurgical technique at the prestigious Klienert Kutz Institute.

Currently, Dr. Humphrey is affiliated and maintains active privileges at both St. Francis Medical Center and Southeast Missouri Hospital. Active hospital staff affiliation is an important outside verification of a surgeon’s competency.

Additionally, Dr. Humphrey has studied under nationally and internationally recognized leaders in plastic surgery and offers the latest aesthetic and cosmetic procedures such as: breast augmentation, breast lift, breast reduction, tummy tuck, liposuction, hand surgery and more.

Dr. Humphrey also practiced in Florida and California prior to partnering with Dr. Deisher at Heartland Plastic Surgery.
