During individual one-on-one consultations, concerns regarding the pubic area, or what is medically called the mons pubis, can be addressed. As a standard part of most tummy tuck procedures, the mons pubis area is slightly reduced. For patients who truly have enlargement of this area out of proportion or normal expectations, additional maneuvers during an abdominoplasty or tummy tuck operation can be undertaken to reduce this. This can include targeted liposuction and/or direct removal of extra or redundant tissue.
