How Is Juvederm Volux XC Administered?

At Heartland Plastic & Hand Surgery, Juvederm Volux XC is administered by injection into the jawline. While you may notice some slight discomfort due to the fine-gauge needle that’s used, there is lidocaine in the gel to provide comfort during the injection. How many injections you need will depend on your goals and what your provider recommends.

What Can I Expect After Injections With Juvéderm Volux XC?

After Juvederm Volux XC injections, you may notice some tenderness, bumpiness, swelling, bruising, redness, and itching. These side effects are temporary and typically go away after a couple of weeks, if not less.

As for results, you will likely notice some improvement right after the injection. More noticeable results tend to appear two to three weeks after your injections as the filler settles and starts to go to work. You can enjoy the results for up to a year and then schedule maintenance treatments to keep up your results.
