Nerve disorders are any condition originating in the brain and spinal cord that affects the function or feeling of nerves in the hand, fingers, or wrist. Some common peripheral nerve disorders diagnosed include the following:
- The pinched peripheral nervous system happens whenever one of the nerves becomes compressed or “pinched” together in the spinal cord
- Carpal tunnel syndrome
- Diabetic peripheral neuropathy is a condition that results in decreased nerve function due to fluctuating blood glucose levels in the central nervous system

- Radial nerve dysfunction resulting from damage to the radial nerve that travels down the arm and to the wrist
