Brenda Kennedy, L.P.N. – CLINICAL NURSE
Brenda is a licensed practical nurse with over 25 years of experience and has been with Heartland Plastic & Hand Surgery since 2005. She works alongside our surgeons in clinic caring for, educating, and guiding patients before and after surgery. Brenda is the point of contact for questions regarding medications, and all questions after general or cosmetic surgery including general wound care, activities, and concerns of any kind. Anna – COSMETIC SURGERY CONSULTANT
Anna fills the important role of liaison between cosmetic surgery patients and our surgeons. She meets with patients at the beginning of the cosmetic surgery consultation process and serves as a concierge throughout the pre-surgical phases of care. She has 15 years of experience in this role and is extremely skilled at assisting patients customize their surgical plan to fit their aesthetic goals, budget, and downtime needs. Anna participates in the consultation alongside our surgeons and provides patients detailed cost quotes and schedules all cosmetic surgery procedures. Her depth of experience working with both of our surgeons allows her to answer a vast breadth of questions regarding cosmetic surgery and treatments. Contact Anna
Rachel Hugo, R.N. – NURSE, SKIN CARE COORDINATOR (not pictured)
Meet Rachel, our Skin Care Coordinator at Heartland Plastic & Hand Surgery. Rachel has an enthusiastic energy for her patients and an eagerness to give them a comfortable, fulfilling experience.
Rachel has advanced training and education in laser treatments, MicroNeedling with PRP, Coolsculpting®, as well as Ultherapy. She also holds certificates in numerous medical grade skin care products, including Skin-Medica®, Obagi, and Glo Skin Beauty makeup products. Contact Rachel
Megan – MARKETING & EVENTS COORDINATOR:
Megan is responsible for media planning and implementing marketing campaigns through broadcast, digital, social, outdoor and print media sources. This includes the coordination of all special events and promotions. In addition, Megan works with the aesthetic patients, answering questions regarding all surgical and non-surgical services. Erica – DR. DEISHER’S MEDICAL SCRIBE
Erica works alongside Dr. Deisher during each patient-doctor encounter, assisting him with entering required documentation in the electronic medical records system. In doing so, she works to facilitate patient flow and ensure an accurate and complete medical record for each patient.
Andrea – DR. HUMPHREY’S MEDICAL SCRIBE
Andrea works alongside Dr. Humphrey during each patient-doctor encounter, assisting him with entering required documentation in the electronic medical records system. In doing so, she works to facilitate patient flow and ensure an accurate and complete medical record for each patient. Andrea became a Certified Medical Administrative Assistant in 2015.
Melissa – DIRECTOR, PATIENT SCHEDULING
Melissa is responsible for getting the clinic up and running, as well as answering a multi-phone system where she answers patient questions and scheduled appointments. Contact Melissa
Angela – PATIENT COORDINATOR (not pictured)
Angela is one of our newest Front Office Support members. She is responsible for getting the clinic up and running, greeting and registering patients, verifying insurance, and making patients visits as comfortable as possible. Contact Angela
Brittany – PATIENT COORDINATOR (not pictured)
Brittany primarily schedules all follow up appointments and insurance outpatient surgeries. She also handles all medical record requests and FMLA/insurance forms. Contact Brittany
Denise – INSURANCE/BILLING COORDINATOR
Denise submits insurance claims and works on patient accounts. She is committed to answering patient questions regarding their accounts, insurance, outstanding balances, and billing.
WORK COMP/HOSPITAL SURGERY COORDINATOR
She is also the liaison between HPHS and Workers Compensation case managers: obtaining insurance information on patients and approval for all workers compensation cases, coordinating scheduling, and answering questions regarding work status. She will be your point of contact of scheduling all insurance surgeries through both Southeast Hospital and Saint Francis Medical Center. Carol – TRANSCRIPTIONIST
Carol has been with the practice since 1999, transcribing the physician’s surgical and office notes. She also is in charge of sending pre-determination letters to insurance companies and work comp letters to employers and adjusters. Contact Carol
Kim – PRACTICE MANAGER
Kim is the Practice Manager, in charge of overseeing the day-to-day operations of the practice and handling all aspects of business operations, acting as liaison between the physicians and the staff. She has been with Dr. Deisher since the inception of HPHS in 1998. Contact Kim
