What are Facial Fillers?

Facial, or dermal, fillers are a non-surgical alternative to a facelift. Facial filler procedures help the face appear fuller, less wrinkled and give an overall younger appearance. Are Injectable Fillers Right for Me?

Which Types of Dermal Fillers Do We Offer?

How are Facial Fillers administered at your Cape Girardeau practice?

The dermal fillers are administered by the Board Certified plastic surgeons . Each product is slightly different, but most are injected directly into the facial muscles around the eyes, forehead or other areas. Some of the inject dermal fillers simply plump the face, while others, such as Botox®, block nerve impulses to the muscles too. In either case, the results will begin to show immediately and may improve over the course of the next few days or weeks. Please arrive early to be seated in a private waiting room where ice packs and numbing cream is available for no additional charge.

What Can I Expect After My Dermal Filler Procedure?

While results vary from person to person, right away, you will notice some improvement in the treated areas. Your lines will continue to fade for the next month or so. The improvement can last for up to four or five months.

Since facial fillers are a non-surgical option, most patients can return to regular activities almost immediately. It is sometimes possible for patients to come in for a treatment during lunch and be back to work that same day.
