What is Juvederm Volux XC?
Juvederm Volux XC is the first and only injectable chemical hyaluronic acid, clear gel filler with FDA approval for improving lost jawline definition. These minimally invasive skin injection procedures can help you recapture the definition you want from every angle by adding volume and structure to your lower face. Juvederm Volux XC is one of the many Juvederm injectables we offer at Heartland Plastic & Hand Surgery.
Is Juvederm Volux XC Right For Me?
Juvederm Volux XC is for anyone who is over the age of 21 and struggling with moderate to severe loss of definition of the jawline. If you’re dealing with subtle jowling and looking to achieve more volume and shape to your lower face, Juvederm Volux XC may be an optimal treatment for you. While most patients needed multiple injections, it’s great for anyone who doesn’t want to go under the knife to enhance facial anatomy.
How Is Juvederm Volux XC Administered?
At Heartland Plastic & Hand Surgery, Juvederm Volux XC is administered by injection into the soft tissue of the jawline. While you may notice some slight discomfort in the treatment areas due to the fine-gauge needle that’s used, there is lidocaine in the gel to provide comfort to the injection site. How many injections you need will depend on your facial tissue, goals, and what your provider recommends.

After Juvederm Volux XC injections, you may notice some tenderness, bumpiness, swelling, bruising, redness, and itching. There is minimal downtime, so the most common side effects are typically temporary and usually subside within a couple of weeks or less. Adverse events are rare, but patients should be honest and open about their medical conditions and history to ensure the best possible outcome.
As for results, you will likely notice improved moderate perioral lines right after the injection. More noticeable results like chin projection in the lower jaw tend to appear two to three weeks after your injections as the filler settles and starts to go to work. You can enjoy the results for up to a year and then schedule maintenance treatments to ensure the best outcome.
How Much Do Juvederm Volux XC Treatments Cost?
How much your Juvederm Volux XC injections cost depends on a variety of factors. The cost can change from patient to patient. You can get an exact cost breakdown during your consultation appointment at the office.
