Is Laser Technology Right for Me?

We use the Pico Genesis® system for our laser treatments because it is safe for all skin types and produces results in half the time compared to other cosmetic laser systems. A variety of skin conditions can be treated with Pico Genesis’ advanced technology, meaning you may be a good candidate if you have:

• Uneven skin color and tone
• Age spots or brown spots
• Dull complexion
• Melasma and redness
• Certain signs of aging

Heartland Plastic & Hand Surgery Medical Spa also offers laser hair removal for long lasting results, laser tattoo removal for unwanted tattoos, and laser vein therapy to address visible veins. We offer each patient a customized treatment plan at their initial consultation to ensure optimal results.

How are Laser Treatments Performed?

Dr. Humphrey or one of our specially trained technicians performs the procedure. Short bursts of laser energy are applied to precisely target the problem. Most patients experience little or no discomfort. Many compare the feeling of Pico Genesis® to the static electricity one feels from a latex balloon going over skin or hair.

What Can I Expect After Laser Treatments?

You will see results after just one to three treatments. Additional improvement may be seen with some patients with an additional one to three treatments. Your skin may be slightly red and swollen for a day or two after each treatment.

The cost of Pico Genesis® laser treatment is based upon several factors that are discussed during the consultation. For your convenience, we accept payment by cash, check, and credit card, as well as financing through CareCredit®. Cosmetic laser treatments are not covered by insurance.
