WHAT IS JUVÉDERM VOLUMA™ XC?
Juvéderm Voluma™ XC injectable gel is a solution designed to penetrate the cheeks and smile lines to reverse facial wrinkles and age-related volume loss. At Heartland Plastic & Hand Surgery Medical Spa, Juvederm Voluma™ XC is one of the injectable dermal fillers used to improve the injection site, providing a youthful and refreshed appearance with the initial deep injection. Juvéderm Voluma™ XC contains hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring sugar found within the human body.
With age, the amount of hyaluronic acid decreases, and sagging cheeks may occur. After a Juvéderm Voluma™ XC procedure in your cheeks, a subtle lift is achieved, and you will have a much more youthful appearance. If your goal is to look more attractive, youthful, and healthier, Juvéderm Voluma™ XC injections in your cheeks are an excellent choice for you. However, patients who are not ideal candidates for Juvéderm Voluma XC include those with a history of severe allergic reactions, hypersensitivity to gram-positive bacterial proteins, or prior reactions to any component of the XC injectable gel. Individuals with very thin skin, pigmentation disorders, or a tendency toward excessive scarring may experience less optimal results or additional scars at the injection site.
Those currently on immunosuppressive therapy or other blood thinners may have an increased risk of prolonged bleeding or bruising following skin injection procedures, and patients who have recently experienced skin injury in the treatment area or cheek area should wait until the skin has fully healed. A consultation is required prior to treatment to ensure safety, review FDA-approved dermal filler options, and advise whether repeat treatments or alternative approaches may better restore age-related volume loss and achieve a subtle lift in the cheeks.

Juvéderm Voluma™ XC is administered at Heartland Plastic & Hand Surgery as a nonsurgical treatment. Juvéderm Voluma™ XC is directly injected into the cheek area. Juvéderm Voluma™ XC adds volume to the cheeks and restores a more youthful contour, which makes you look and feel younger. Please arrive early to be seated in a private room where ice packs and numbing cream are available to soother the treatment site for no additional charge.
